Orange Route Ferry Cancelled Due To Weather

September 28, 2015

The Department of Marine and Ports said they “would like to advise the public that due to inclement weather the Orange route Dockyard to St. George’s ferry has been cancelled today until further notice.”

The Bermuda Weather Service said, “As high pressure to our northeast interacts with Tropical Depression 11 to the distant southwest, strong to gale force winds will be present today with periods of rain and showers. Although Tropical Depression 11 is not forecast to directly impact Bermuda, a band of moisture with strong winds will be held over the region into midweek.”

@AS YOU ARE I would agree normally, however, the is the Millennium. This ferry is serviced every evening (liquids etc) before the staff knock off for the day and on their one down day a week they do a full mainetance chaeck.

When one of the 4 engines broke down earlier in the summer they had the parts here in 2 days, when they did arrive the engine was stripped and witing for them.
