Premier Dunkley Attending Events In NY & DC
The Cabinet Office advised today that Premier Michael Dunkley is currently in the US this week attending two events; the New York launch of the “Race to Bermuda” event and the Congressional Black Caucus’ Leadership Reception
“This evening [Sept 16], the Premier will participate in the New York launch of the Bermuda Tourism Authority’s [BTA] “Race to Bermuda” event, which highlights the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series Races being held next month in Bermuda,”a spokesperson said.
“The BTA’s “Race to Bermuda” event is taking place during the height of the popular and iconic New York Fashion Week and is anticipated to garner international exposure for the Island.
“The Premier will bring brief welcome remarks to the guests who will include key industry influencers, representatives from Louis Vuitton, and media representatives from such top tier entities as Conde Nast, Travel and Leisure, Vanity Fair, Wall Street Journal, CNN, New York Magazine, Maxim Creative Group and Vogue.it among others.
“Tomorrow [September 17], the Premier will be in Washington DC to attend the Congressional Black Caucus’ [CBC] Leadership Reception, honoring Rep. G. K. Butterfield, Chair of the CBC.
“The public will be aware that late last year, Congressman Butterfield was named chairman of the CBC. Residents will also be aware that Congressman Butterfield has very strong ties to Bermuda, and has always been very supportive of the Island over the years. At the event, Congressman Butterfield will be honoured for his advocacy of minorities and congressional service.
“While in Washington, the Premier will also attend an event honouring long serving Congressman James Clyburn of South Carolina.
“The Premier, who is accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Dr. Derrick Binns during his brief US visit, returns to the Island this weekend.”

Congressional White Caucus has been around since they ventured from the Caucus Mountains.
America has ALWAYS had an upper hand in white interest since Europeans invaded, so since the 1960′s an influx of Black Representatives decided to formally organize to have a voice in the House of Representatives for Black People.
Just like when Blacks weren’t allowed to worship with white Methodist, Richard Allen decided to form his own place of worship which we now have the AME churches.

Why is the Premier wasting our money on attending an event that is to honor a long serving democrat??? It is a well known fact that if the democrats had their way, we would lose all our IB sector and we would be reduced to nothing!!! I swear all politicians are brain dead!!!!

No, I’m not talking about a PS or civil servant or Minister. I’m talking about police officers, paid for by Bermuda’s taxpayers, accompanying the Premier for the purpose of providing for his security. A bodyguard. DREB did that. I don’t think Dunkley does that.
