Jonte Smith Scores, Gloucester Out Of FA Cup

Bermudian Jonte Smith scored in the 66th minute of this weekend’s Gloucester City vs Staines Town game, however despite his goal Gloucester City lost 2-1 to Staines Town, resulting in them bowing out of the FA Cup.

Staines Town went up 1-0 in the 26th minute and Gloucester City dropped down to 10 men following the penalty and red card handed to Gloucester goalkeeper Jasbir Singh for bringing down Staines player Luke Wanadio.

Both teams then down to 10 men following Staines player Prince M’Bengui being given a red card, and they went into the half-time break with Staines leading 1-0.

In the 66th minute Jonte Smith scored, bringing the score to 1-1, however in the 88th minute Pat Cox scored, putting Staines up 2-1, a lead they held unto the end.
