New Pilates Instructor Joins Horizon Health
Horizon Health, a holistic gym and pilates studio, has appointed Kelley Christene Watson as a full time Pilates Instructor.
“Kelley, originally from Chicago, Illinois comes to Bermuda as a extremely well versed teacher with 10 years teaching experience and a multitude of qualifications. Kelley’s role will be to teach private, semi-private reformer classes on our new Gratz equipment and group mat classes in the studio,” the company said.
“Kelley, as an advanced teacher, has full comprehension of Reformer, Cadillac, barrels, chairs. Kelley is classically trained with Pilates Method Alliance as well as specializes in various other qualifications such as Spinal Conditions, Sports Conditioning and Rehabilitation, Pre and Post Natal Pilates and The Pink Ribbon Program.
“Kelley is passionate about helping clients reach their body goals whether it is fitness through working with the Pilates pulley & cable system to get a long lean muscular skeletal balance or you need more help with alignment because of sports injuries or scoliosis, post-operative pilates, Kelley has a vast array of knowledge of movement and experience to help any client.
“Kelley is the only qualified Pink Ribbon Program Pilates teacher on island and has a deep understanding of the obstacles survivors are challenged with because of scar tissue, mobility inhibitions, and risks of lymphedema.
“Kelley understands the lifestyle strains and demands of anyone on the program as earlier in her life she had a scare and the emotional roller coaster that goes along with those situations.
“Prior to Kelley joining Horizon Health, she worked at the University of Chicago [UIC] Medical Campus School of Public Health and Posture Perfect Pilates, Chicago as a Pilates Instructor. From 2006-2209 Kelley was a Pilates Coordinator for Fitness Formula Clubs [FFC] in Chicago and Pilates Instructor for Tennis and Fitness Centre, Oak Park, Illinois.
“From 2009-2014 Kelley also owned her own Pilates and rehabilitation studio, Pilates Edge by Kelley LLC’ in Forest Park, Illinois. Kelley has worked with all levels, ages and abilities from advanced to beginner.”
