Book Signing To Be Held For “Tucker House”
A lunch time book signing of the Bermuda National Trust’s latest book, Tucker House, will be held on Thursday, November 12 at Trustworthy on Old Cellar Lane in Hamilton from 12 noon to 2.00pm.
The book tells the story of the mid 18th century house built for a merchant mariner, which became the home of Henry Tucker and his family. The house, which is located on Water Street in St George’s, is run as a museum by the Trust with its focus on the Tucker family, however the book tells a far wider story.
The house was home to other interesting people and through their eyes we witness the unfolding history of St George’s, the former seat of government and now a UNESCO World Heritage site.
It was researched and written by Diana Chudleigh, the modern photographs were taken by Ann Spurling, and the book will be selling for $10.00.
