Bermuda Police Miracle Christmas Hamper Drive

Members of the Bermuda Police Service along with community partners have donated goods to be supplied to families facing challenging circumstances at this time of year.

A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service is pleased to highlight the second annual presentation of the “Be A Part of a Miracle Christmas Hamper drive”.

“Officers and support staff throughout the service along with our community partners donated goods to be supplied to families facing challenging circumstances at this time of year.

“The goods this year will be donated to the BPS 2015 charities of choice, the Coalition for the Protection of Children and the Center Against Abuse. Representatives of the respective charities were on hand to accept the handover of the large volume of goods donated.

“Those representatives were Laurie Shiell, Exec Director Centre Against Abuse, Dr Donna Outerbridge, Director of Client Services and Samantha Knight, Operations Director for the Coalition for the Protection of Children. Representing the Police was Sgt. Shakisha Minors, organizer in chief, and Officer in Charge of The Central Community Action Team, Inspector Scott Devine.”

    Well done BPS! Funny how many people were quick to bash the police for marching on cabinet grounds the other day and not even a single comment of appreciation on their hamper drive.|I’m sure some of them will be collecting from their hampers!
