December 11, 2015

The Bank of N.T. Butterfield & Son Limited recently presented the Coalition for the Protection of Children with a $5,000 donation; the proceeds of its employee Holiday Raffle ticket sales.

Throughout November, Butterfield employees had the opportunity to purchase $1 Holiday Raffle tickets for a chance to win some great prizes, including vacation days, a travel voucher, retail gift certificates and Apple products. All the funds raised through ticket sales were donated to the Coalition for their Holiday initiatives.

Michael Collins, Chief Executive Officer noted, “Our goal for this initiative was to create a bit of Holiday cheer and celebrate with our employees who have worked so hard during the year.

“Because we are always looking for opportunities to help in the community, it seemed fitting to donate the proceeds of the raffle ticket sales to a well deserving charity. I would like to thank our employees for their generosity.”

Kelly Hunt from the Coalition said, “We are thrilled by Butterfield’s efforts during a time when there are so many of Bermuda’s families needing support. The spirit of giving excelled this year with companies such as Butterfield raising funds for the Toys for Tots and Hamper Drive.

“Due to this kind of generosity, we are confident that every family we work with will enjoy a Christmas meal and receive a present to open.

“The Coalition is extremely thankful to Butterfield for being supportive of our holiday programmes and we would like to wish all of their employees a happy Holiday season!”
