Two Largest Distributors Of Coffee Join Forces

December 14, 2015

Convenience Coffee and CoffeeWorks have merged to form the largest business of its kind in Bermuda.

The owners say that through economies of scale, the new business will be able to provide customers with an even higher level of service, offer a vast range of coffee, tea and other beverages, while maintaining the same level of prices, or even in some cases, offering better value.

“The new firm is going to be operated under the name of Convenience Coffee”, said Herwig Weikl, Managing Director of the new business. “I will be managing the business on a day to day basis.

“The transition will be completely seamless for our customers. They can still call the same phone numbers and order online through the same websites. But immediately they will see quicker delivery times.

“Shortly, we will be merging the websites but for now, our easy online ordering remains the same. We look forward to serving all of the customers of Convenience Coffee and CoffeeWorks, not as usual — but even better!”

The new firm will carry the world’s most popular brands of coffee in bean, drip and ground varieties. Keurig® single-cup brewing system, Tim Horton’s, Gloria Jean’s, Tulley’s, Newman’s Own, Wolfgang Puck, Emeril’s, Green Mountain, Starbuck’s, Twinings, as well as Nespresso and scores of other brands. Mr. Weikl says that the new company will offer more than 300 flavours of coffee and tea.

The new business eventually will operate out of the CoffeeWorks location on Harvey Road in Paget.

CoffeeWorks was formerly part of The Liquid Group and was launched in 2001 by Paul Claude. Convenience Coffee is owned and operated by Herwig Weikl, who began the business in 2006.

I don’t know how delivery times can get any faster for Convenience Coffee, I always get mine on the same day. I wish other Bermudians would run businesses like that!

They are local wholesalers. Both companies have been supplying Bermuda for over 9 years. I am pretty sure you are already drinking coffee supplied by 1 of the 2 companies.
