Restaurant Weeks People’s Choice Award

January 26, 2016

At the halfway point of Bermuda Restaurant Weeks 2016, diners are encouraged to go online and vote for their favourite Restaurant Weeks Bermuda-inspired menu.

“The People’s Choice Award has a meaningful impact on a restaurant’s bottom line,” said Pat Phillip-Fairn, chief product and experiences development officer for the Bermuda Tourism Authority. “

“Muse won the title last year and they tell us the People’s Choice Award was more valuable than any advertising they could buy. And of course, we value local endorsements at the BTA because we want to recommend to visitors the places residents rate highest.”

Restaurant Weeks began January 14 and will continue until February 5, 2016. Earlier today, the BTA shared a status update with participating restaurants and motivated them to remind customers about voting in the People’s Choice Award.

In an email to restaurateurs, Product Development Manager Tashae Thompson wrote: “If you’re serving customers who have had a great experience, tell them to go online and vote for you in the People’s Choice Award. Although it would be inappropriate to coerce votes, it’s perfectly acceptable to encourage your customers to vote for your restaurant.”

The instructions for the public are simple: [1] go to table.bm [2] click on the red vote button [3] select the restaurant of your choice.

Through January 25, the top vote getters in each of the three price categories are as follows [in no particular order]:

$29 Menu

  • Flanagan’s Irish Pub & Outback and Pickled Onion

$39 Menu

  • La Trattoria, Muse and Rosa’s

$49 Menu

  • Harry’s at the Waterfront and Red Steakhouse

In all, there are 47 restaurants participating in the promotion – the highest in the five-year history of Restaurant Weeks, with two restaurants joining the promotion post-launch. Last year there were 43 participating restaurants.

Sorry to say you can’t vote for Bermuda Bistro’s $29 menu as we did not meet the criteria for being Bermuda themed BUT we do our best to hire BERMUDIAN STAFF which sadly many restaurants do not do and never have meanwhile making a farce of immigration guidelines. Our menu is outstanding with unmatched value VOTE WITH YOUR STOMACH !
I would also like to say thank you to the BTA for a great promotion for locals CHEERS !
