Butterfield & Vallis 5k Road Race Set For Feb 7

The Butterfield & Vallis 5K road race is set to be held on Sunday, February 7, with the race starting and finishing at Butterfield & Vallis on Woodlands Road.

The race will see Steven DeSilva and his Bermuda Timing team once again doing the chip timing, with participants to enjoy a day of competition, snacks, and a prize giving.

The event gets underway at 9.00am with the Primary and Middle School boys and girls running the 2.7k route, followed by the Senior School students and adults running the 5k route at 9.30am, while walkers will start right behind the runners.

The main draw prizes are two pedal bikes from Winners’ Edge and Sportseller gift certificates. The first 900 participants will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag, while the first 900 finishers will receive a water bottle.

This event is promoted and organized by Butterfield & Vallis, assisted on race day by the Bermuda Union of Teachers, and sanctioned by the BNAA. Proceeds from the event will go toward sending young athletes to the CUT Biennial Student Athletic Championships.

Paper entries close on Wednesday, February 3 at 4.45pm, while online entries close at 5.00pm on Friday, February 5; late registration and number pick-up is on Saturday, February 6 between 10.00am and 2.00pm at Butterfield & Vallis on Woodlands Road. There will be no late registration on race day.
