Tribunal Set To Hear Objections Over City Plans

During the public consultation period on the Draft City of Hamilton Plan 2015, seven objections and representations were received, and they will be presented to the Tribunal on January 20th.

A spokesperson said, “Following the appointment of Jonathan Castro, Richard James, and Alasdair Younie to the Tribunal to hear the objections and representations to the Draft City of Hamilton Plan 2015 by Minister of Home Affairs Michael Fahy in December, the Tribunal will hear objections on January 20.

“During the public consultation period from June to September 2015, seven objections and representations to the Draft City of Hamilton Plan 2015 were received. These will be presented to the Tribunal on January 20.

“The Tribunal inquiry will start at 9.30am and take place in the Economic Development Board Room, third floor of the Government Administration Building.

“The Tribunal will make recommendations to the Minister of Home Affairs, who will present the final City of Hamilton Plan 2015 to the Legislature for approval.

“A register of the objections and representations is available to view at the Department of Planning on the fifth floor of the Dame Lois Browne-Evans Building at 58 Court Street, and on the Department of Planning website www.planning.gov.bm.”
