Court: Prisoner Admits Cannabis Possession

February 5, 2016

Already serving a prison sentence for his part in the double murder at the Belvin’s store on Happy Valley Road, LeVeck Roberts was sentenced to sixty days after being convicted of possessing cannabis.

In this morning’s [Feb 5] Plea Court, Roberts plead guilty to being in possession of 0.78 grams of cannabis and doing so in the Increased Penalty Zone of Westgate Correctional Facility on 22nd July 2015.

The Crown Prosecutor told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that a drug sniffer dog that was assisting Corrections Officers had led them to the drug hidden in Robert’s cell.

The Magistrate ordered that the sixty days be consecutive to the time that Roberts must serve for the double murder of Haile Outerbridge and Ricco Furbert.
