The Bermuda Football Association said, “The Bermuda Men’s National Team were drawn in Group three of the Caribbean Football Union [CFU] Caribbean Cup with Cuba and French Guiana.

“The team will play its first group stage match vs Cuba on March 22nd in Cuba.

“Four days later, March 26th at 8pm, Bermuda will play its second group game against French Guiana at the National Sports Center.

“The format of the Caribbean cup has been changed. Round one teams will play each other once.

“Each match must have a victor as such if a match has a tied score at the end of regulation time, overtime and kicks from the penalty mark will be used to decide the outcome.

“The Scotiabank sponsored CFU Caribbean Cup will have the two top teams of the group round advance to round two to be played May 15th to 21st.

“Round three will follow October 3rd to 11th, and the finals will take place in 2017, at a date to be announced.

“Twenty-one countries will start the tournament in Round 1, but it narrows with 15 countries in round 2 and 12 countries in round 3.

“The Caribbean Cup is played among member associations of the CFU, and it is used also as the qualification tournament among CFU members for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

“We are also pleased to announce Bermuda will travel to St. Kitts and Nevis for training and a full friendly for a date later this month, the date to be confirmed soon.

“BFA President and chairman of the Local Organizing Committee [LOC], Larry Mussenden, anticipates that tickets for the Bermuda vs French Guiana match would be on sale by February 26th.”
