Football: First, Premier & Corona Division Results

BAA, Young Men Social Club, St. David’s, Somerset Eagles, Flanagan’s Onions, Dandy Town Hornets, Devonshire Cougars, Boulevard Blazers, Robin Hood, and Butterfield & Vallis all walked away with wins in this weekend’s Premier Division, First Division and Corona League football action.

First Division: Paget Lions 1 BAA 5

At the Somerset Cricket Club, Malachi Jones scored a hat-trick to lead BAA to a 5 – 1 victory over the Paget Lions. Jahkari Furbert and an own goal added to the BAA tally, while Koshun Durrant scored the lone goal for the Paget Lions.

First Division: Young Men Social Club 9 Ireland Rangers 1

At the PHC Stadium, Saki Tuzo gave the Young Men Social Club the lead in the 11th minute, but one minute later the scores were level as Jahnai Ratteray scored for Ireland Rangers. The League leading goalscorer Clay Darrell gave Young Men Social Club the lead they would never give up again in the 20th minute, sixteen minutes later it was 3 – 1 as Tuzo scored his second of the game and then Robert Rawlins scored two goals within 4 minutes to make the halftime score 5 – 1, Rawlins scored in the 40th and 44th minutes. In the 53rd minute Corey Burgess made it 6 – 1 to Young Men Social Club, and then Jaire Fough-Smith scored in the 65th minute making it 7 – 1. In the 80th minute Eugene Ball would make it 8 – 1 to Young Men Social Club before Raymond Burgess closed out the scoring for Young Men Social Club in the 80th minute, both teams late on missed a penalty.

First Division: St. David’s 5 X-Roads 2

At Lord’s in St. David’s, St. David’s got two goals from Kontaicf Burton and Allan Douglas Jr. in their 5 – 2 win over X-Road’s. Otis Minors would add the other, while Khomeini Talbot and Daniel Baker scored for X-Roads.

First Division: St. George’s Colts 0 Somerset Eagles 3

At the Wellington Oval the League Leaders Somerset Eagles confirmed their intentions of getting promoted with a 3 – 0 win over the St. George’s Colts. Khimo Harrison gave the visitors the lead in the 6th minute, with Nathan Rego doubling the lead in the 51st, Rashun Seaman closed out the scoring eight minutes later to give them the win.

First Division: Flanagan’s Onions 4 Wolves 2

After a scoreless first half at the BAA Field, Flanagan’s came away with a 4 – 2 victory over Wolves, two goals from Miles Brewer and single strikes from Michael Lindsey-Bailey and Ron Tuner earned them the win, while Wolves got goals from Kyle Brangman and Sergio Richardson.

Premier Division: Somerset Trojans 2 North Village Rams 2

At the Somerset Cricket Club, the home team Somerset Trojans came from behind in their Premier Division match against the North Village Rams to finish at 2 – 2. The North Village Rams went ahead in the 27th minute through an own goal, that lead was doubled in the 41st minute when Tyrell Burgess scored, but Leo Burgess would pull a goal back for the defending League Champions in the 48th minute, before Ayshun Smith scored in the 63rd minute to draw the teams level at 2 – 2. Neither team would be able to break the other as they shared the points.

Premier Division: PHC Zebras 1 Dandy Town Hornets 2 

The Dandy Town Hornets moved one step closer to securing the league title with this come from behind win over the PHC Zebras at the PHC Stadium, but the biggest worry for the league leaders would be the health of Drewonde Bascome who was stretchered off and into an awaiting ambulance taken to the hospital with an injury. The PHC Zebras scored first with a goal from Cecoy Robinson, but goals from Angelo Simmons and Quadir Maynard earned the Dandy Town Hornets the 2 – 1 win.

Premier Division: Devonshire Colts 0 Devonshire Cougars 5

At the Police Field, Devonshire Colts coach Jay Bean would have been hoping for a better start but it was not to be as an own goal in the first minute gave the Devonshire Cougars the lead, Devonshire Cougars player coach Kwame Steede would score twice, while Chamari Burns and Moses Steede scored a goal each giving the Devonshire Cougars a 5 – 0 win over the Devonshire Colts.

Premier Division: Hamilton Parish 1 Boulevard Blazers 2

It took 65 minutes before this game would see it’s first goal, it was the home team Hamilton Parish who would get the opener Aaron Burgess, would put Hamilton Parish ahead, but when it would seem as if they would pick up a much needed win the visitors Boulevard Blazer would get the equalizer as Dunn-Ya Taylor found the back of the net, but then TiaeVince Douglas scored the winner for the Boulevard Blazers in stoppage time.

Premier Division: Robin Hood 5 Southampton Rangers 1

At the BAA Field, Robin Hood came away with a 5 – 1 victory over the Southampton Rangers. Robin Hood got two goals from Nathan Peskett and single strikes from Ereico Outerbridge, Antwan Russell and Tyriko Williams, while Keith Jennings scored the lone goal for the Southampton Rangers.

Corona League: Robin Hood 2 [3] West End United 2 [1]

Robin Hood advanced in the Corona League Challenge Cup with a 3 – 1 kicks from the penalty mark win over West End United. The two teams ended level at 2 – 2, Fabio Divuolo and Jake Fox scored a goal each for Robin Hood, while Dylan DeSilva and Martel Laws scored a goal each for West End United.

Corona League: Butterfield & Vallis 3 Tuff Dogs 1

Butterfield & Vallis advanced following their 3 – 1 win over the Tuff Dogs, Tokia Russell, Milton Ferreira and Lushun Dill all scored a goal each for Butterfield & Vallis, while Jared Peniston scored the lone goal for the Tuff Dogs.
