Photos & Video: Military Planes Depart Bermuda

February 22, 2016

[Updated with video] Just before noon today [Feb 22] aircraft from the Royal Air Force departed Bermuda’s LF Wade International Airport, heading to the Azores.

The group of aircraft included the A330 Voyager Tanker accompanying four Typhoon fighter jets. As is the usual protocol, once the jets start their engines to warm up, passing traffic begin to pull over and gather to witness the aircraft activity.

.

Kindley Field Road was lined with spectators watching the all too familiar sights and sounds of the visiting military aircraft. The four jets left in pairs with two jets taking off at the same time and the tanker following shortly after the jets.

Wonderful display of Air Power and Technology.I hope that all this Power and Technology is used for good and not for bad.Every country that is blessed to have it ,must remember this and advance humanity ,protect it,and share it and not use it to the detriment of humanity for the sake of power and dominion over others.War is never the answer ,but unfortunately at this time of our existence,it is what it is.Slavery lasted for 400 years in America and still exists today in many forms. Before slavery in America Slavery existed for thousands of years before America was inhabited by Europeans. When they were living in the caves and hillsides of Europe eating meat raw, other so called civilized cultures practiced slavery. In this march toward peace and no war and the use of power and force to dominate other human beings I am afraid that we are in for a long haul yet.Perhaps many more thousands of years. It is what it is Peace.

    • Accurate says:

Do not despair Takbir – mankind is making progress. There’s still a high price to pay for that progress but it is progress non-the-less.
