Kabaka Pyramid To Perform In Bermuda

International reggae superstar Kabaka Pyramid is set to perform in Bermuda for the first time. The “Well Done” singer will be performing at the launch of Dubwise Bermuda, Saturday, April 9th, at BAA Gym.

“The Dubwise movement was born in Jamaica and aims to reintroduce authentic roots dub reggae music to mainstream audiences. Dubwise has spread worldwide and has become known for it’s good vibes and cant-miss live roots reggae performances,” a spokesperson said.

“Kabaka Pyramid will be bringing a high-energy performance to the inaugural edition of Dubwise Bermuda.

“Kabaka is a multi-talented artist hailing from the streets of Kingston, Jamaica. His unique style blends hypnotizing delivery with the positive, spiritual, and conscious message of reggae music.

“Kabaka has received recognition both locally and overseas, placing #1 on the Billboard Next Big Sound Charts. In 2013, He was awarded breakthrough artist of the year by the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association, as well as best reggae recording by Canada’s highly respected Juno Awards.

“Releasing singles such as “Well Done” “Free from Chains”, “No Capitalist”, “Mi Alright” with Chronixx, and “Never Gonna Be A Slave”, Kabaka Pyramid is being touted by many as a leader of the ‘roots revival generation’, a new wave of powerful reggae artists coming out of Jamaica.

“Kabaka Pyramid will be joined in Bermuda by Yaadcore, the founder of the Dubwise movement and personal DJ for reggae artist Protoje. Yaadcore is a cultured selector that is making waves on Jamaica’s music scene, as well as receiving recognition from the global reggae community.

“Bermudian reggae artist Stevie Dread is joining the Dubwise Bermuda lineup, alongside local sound-systems Souljah 1, Stalwart, Prophecy, and Blackstar.
