Top 20 Bermuda Youtube Channels For March

March 22, 2016

Last month one local church was affected by a bogus claim made to YouTube and had its live stream of its morning service taken down.

First Baptist was baffled by the quick takedown, but later found out it was a victim of a YouTube policy that is going to change.

The social media video service has responded to widespread criticism that it is too quick to take down videos without verifying the facts first.

The Stack reported last week: “Complaints have accused the video streaming site of a lazy approach to monitoring content, and using an unreliable automated system.”

As a result, YouTube said “It’s caused us to look closely at our policies and helped us identify areas where we can get better. It’s led us to create a team dedicated to minimizing mistakes and improving the quality of our actions.”

Users should expect the changes to be rolled out over the next few months.

In the Bermuda Top 20 list, reggae singer Collie Buddz’s channel had nearly one million views – more then the rest of the top 20 combined — and is the clear number one. BIOS had more than 100,000 views and remains second while singing group Thirdstory is third, picking up 300,000 views in the past 30 days.

The rest of the top five is Bernews and Oracle Racing Team with the news site going past the five million view mark and the America’s Cup defender set to surpass it soon.

Since this is just the third list of YouTube views for Bermuda, if you know of any channels with Bermuda content who should be included, please email me at dburgesspb@gmail.com. All Bermuda Triangle videos are excluded. All YouTube views were recorded on Monday, March 21, 2017.
