sounds pretty damn reasonable to me.

    • Portia says:

But it doesn’t list the costs of “the Minister of Tourism Development and Transport and other tourism and air transport officials” who accompanied him. I doubt they paid their own costs.

  2. Nikki brgg says:

I wish I could go to New York for that price. It seems very reasonable and thoughtfully planned.

    • Mr. White says:

Stop being an idiot. Tickets to New York are $350 or less. He over paid.

  3. Reality Check says:

The story indicates that a second Minister and other officials went also. What were their expenses?

Seems to me that the overall to the taxpayer will be at least four times higher as at least three, perhaps even five other persons might have been on that trip.

True cost? Might well be more than $7,000.

  4. Swing Voter says:

I only wish the government would smartin’ up and demand that the empty seats the tax pay is paying for are put on the market at discount prices. Why pay the subsidy if we can’t get anything in return!

  5. SNS says:

Not sure why they didn’t list cost for all attendees, but one could assume you’d multiply that number by the number of people that went and, I think, it’s still reasonable!

  6. Sue Kaulbach says:

Thank you Mr. Premier. We need some more meetings like this.,.For the good of our Beautiful Island.,. Every bit counts.,.

  7. Kathy says:

Why weren’t they invited to Bermuda instead of us travelling there? Don’t we have a product to sell and isn’t the best way to sell it by showing it off?
