Ball Hockey: Oshawa Generals & Giants Win

The Bermuda Ball Hockey Play-offs moved into the Semi-Finals with a double neader that produced a total of 17 goals.

Gatineau Olympiques 2 Oshawa Generals 6

The Oshawa Generals took a 1 – 0 series lead after they defeated the Gatineau Olympiques 6 – 2. At the end of the First Period the scores were locked at 1 – 1, the Gatineau Olympiques took the lead with a gal of the stick of Kevin Desilva, before the Oshawa Generals drew level with a Chris Allington goal.

The Second Period was all the Oshawa Generals as they scored four unanswered goals, with Jeremy Estey scoring twice, they also got single goals from Jm Tremblay and Matthew Benson.

Jacob Amlong pulled a goal back for the Gatineau Olympiques in the Thiurd Period, but the Oshawa Generals had the final say with a Bill Calko goal.

Vancouver Giants - Tri City Americans

Tri City Americans 3 Vancouver Giants 6

The Vancouver Giants proved too strong for the Tri City Americans with a 6 – 3 win to take a 1 – 0 series lead.

After a scoreless First Quarter the Vancouver Giants took the lead with a goal from Stephen Chin early in the Second Period, but the Tri City Americans would draw level with a goal off the stick of Christopher Merritt. The Vancouver Giants would get goals from Glen Madore and Christopher Jackson to take a 3 – 1 lead into the final period.

The Vancouver Giants jumped out to a 6 – 1 lead in the Third Period with goals from Stephen Chin, Madore and Jackson, however the Tri City Americans refused to go quietly with back to back goals from Jeffrey Loper but they ran out of time to close the gap.
