Developing ADHD Support Group In Bermuda

April 28, 2016

A developing support group for those affected by Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder [ADHD] is aiming to create “a support system within the community for children, youth, parents, and families on the island.”

The group is reaching out to people across Bermuda who would like to be involved.

A spokesperson said, “Is your child struggling in school? Or are you struggling to cope with everyday life because of ADHD? Do find it hard to get the support or even understanding that you need on/about/with ADHD? Then join us as we begin to expand on the awareness of this complex disorder.

“Our main aim at the moment is to find out what the demands are on the island for parents/individuals needing support with ADHD. As many are aware or even unaware this disorder has been kept very private for years but as awareness is being raised those struggling are reaching out because they want help.

“This makes it evident that there is a need for a support system on the island.

“If you are interested in any kind of support or would like to be involved in the process of supporting please like our page, comment or email us if you want to remain anonymous.

“We look forward to helping children, parents, adults, families in anyway that we can moving forward in Bermuda’s society.”
