Man Admits Theft, Robbery & Threatening Words

Appearing in Magistrates Court today [Apr 18], a 54-year-old man admitted stealing T-bone steaks and deodorant, knocking someone down and robbing them of their Special Person’s card, and using threatening words.

Eugene Anderson admitted the string of offences which that took place in August 2015.

Mr Anderson admitted stealing five T-bone steaks, robbing a Special Person [a senior] of his Special Person’s card; stealing deodorant and other items valued at $89; and using threatening words by telling someone: “You need to be six feet under.”

The Crown Prosecutor told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that Mr Anderson’s actions were captured on CCTV, and he had chased down the man and knocked him to the ground, before robbing him of the card and cash.

The Magistrate ordered BARC and Psychiatric reports and also ordered a Social Inquiry Report. The Magistrate set sentencing for June and ordered that Mr Anderson was to be kept in custody until then.
