Photos: ‘Temptations’ Reopens After Renovations

April 21, 2016

After being closed for three months while undergoing renovations, Temptations has re-opened in St. George’s, offering a selection of made-to-order sandwiches, bagels, soups, fresh salads, ice cream and more.

Originally founded in 1992, Temptations has served the St. George’s community for the past 24 years, and in an effort to keep up with the changing times and the expectations of their customers, they decided to close their doors for almost three months in order to undergo renovations.

The changes included a total overhaul; a new look and layout that included new tiled floors, white subway backsplash, and relocation of their service counter.

Situated next to the historical St. Peter’s Church and just off of the Town Square, Temptations is open for business once again. They also offer take-out service for those on the go or wishing to continue discovering the historical town.

.

Owned and run by a mother and daughter team for just over a decade, Juliette Hoerrmann and her daughter Julie Dill possess a combined 60 years of hospitality and entrepreneur experience, including 25+ years of food and beverage experience within the St. George’s community.

You can often find Ms Hoerrmann working behind the counter interacting with customers, while Mrs Dill is actively involved in the daily running of the business behind the scenes taking care of the office affairs.

Both mother and daughter are extremely proud of their accomplishments, and look forward to continuing to grow with the St. Georges community.

Mrs Dill said, “From the age of 5, I was raised in St. George’s. So for my mother and I to be able to continue to be apart of the continued growth of the community really means a lot to both of us.

“We each know how much St. George’s has to offer and we want to do our part so that Temptations can continue to be a staple in the community and its growth.”

Temptations will now also be available as an event location for tea parties, baby showers, bridal showers, children’s birthdays or any other celebratory needs.

Temptations is located at 31 York Street, St. Georges and is open 8:00am – 3:00pm. They are closed on Sundays except for private events.
