Smith & Lindsay Win Eye Institute Classic Race

Chayce Smith and Gayle Lindsay are the 2016 Eye Institute Classic Road Race Male and Female Champions, while Tommy Marshall and Tilly Norman are the 2016 Eye Institute Classic Road Race Junior Male and Female Champions.

The Eye Institute Classic Road Race sees competitors run around Cut Road St. George’s, and Smith led from start to finish covering the distance at a pace of 5:23 to record a time of 16:44, second place went to thirteen year old Ryan Outerbridge who clocked 18:39 and Quincy Kuzyk finished third recording a time of 19:07.

Lindsay was the ninth runner to cross the line clocking a time of 20:18, she was running at a pace of 6:32, Laura Wang was the second Female finisher across the line competing the course in a time of 21:31 finishing 12th overall and one spot back was the third Female finisher Lynsey Palmer who clocked 21:55.

Marshall clocked a winning time of 10:21, with Yari Tucker second with a time of 11:12, Norman was third overall she recorded a time of 11:30. Myeisha Sharrieff was the second Female finisher and 4th across the line in 12:11, while Grace Rothwell was the third female finisher and 5th overall with a time of 12:15, Khari Sharrieff was the third Male runner and 7th overall, he crossed the line in a time of 14:16.
