Court: 29-Year-Old Man Pleads Guilty To Stealing
Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [May 9], a 29-year-old man admitted entering KFC with the intention of stealing, and also admitted a separate charge of stealing a woman’s handbag.
Mr Tracyston Mallory pleaded guilty to entering Kentucky Fried Chicken store with the intent to steal, and also pleaded guilty to stealing a woman’s handbag that contained a cellphone, cash, and cosmetics.
The Crown Prosecutor told Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo that earlier this month, CCTV had shown Mallory entering KFC via a rear entrance, and he subsequently admitted he entered with the intention to steal.
The Crown Prosecutor told the Magistrate that based on Mallory’s record, he should be assigned to the Mental Health Court. The Magistrate agreed and ordered he be held in custody until the next sitting of the Mental Health Court.
