Netball: Teachers, Village, & Lady Zebras Win

Four games were played in the latest round of the Bermuda Netball Association’s Summer League at Bernard Park that produced 179 goals.

The Teachers defeated the Stars 35 – 21, Danielle Raynor led the Teachers to victory with 20 goals, while Debbie Deshields chipped in with 15 goals. Rebecca Conklin scored 10 goals for the Stars who also got 6 goals from Denisha Gardener and 5 goals from Eshe Grant

The Village Old Girls defeated the Swallows 29 – 10, Nicole Smith scored 19 goals to lead the Village Old Girls, with Selina Bascome adding 10 goals.

The PHC Lady Zebras defeated the Signworxs Netts Juniors 21 – 15. Amiah Smith scored 10 goals for the Signworxs Netts Juniors, while Zidonnae Robinson and Elishe Smith scored 2 goals each and Jah-quala Tucker scored once.

The final game of the evening ended in a draw as the National Team and Women in Blue finished deadlocked at 24 – 24.

Zekiah Lewis scored 9 goals for the National Team, Kaamilah Nasir added 7 goals, Inshanae Smith chipped in with 4 goals, while Amali Smith scored 3 times and Demiqua Daniels scored once. Kirstin Saltus scored 17 goals for the Women In Blue, Akeyla Furbert added 5 goals and Darrika Simons scored twice.
