PLP Constituency #2 Golf Tournament Results
An afternoon of golf and fellowship at Ocean View Golf Course saw the second annual PLP Constituency #2 Spring Golf Tournament crown new champions.
In what some may take as a good sign for the upcoming Cup Match festivities, one of the teams with its origins at St. Georges Cricket Club walked away with the trophy .
“A special congratulations must be extended to Richard Basden, who is now a repeat winner and will have his name on the trophy for a 2nd year,” a spokesperson said.
“Richard Basden [a former Vice President of St. George's Cricket Club] was joined by former St. George’s Cup Match star Gary Brangman, together with Ianthia Butler and ‎Colin Basden – the team fired an astounding 13 under par 57.
“This team will now enjoy bragging rights at Alaska Hall, where the trophy will be displayed, of course we expect Richard Basden Sr. now claiming the double, as a member‎ on both last year’s winning team and this year’s winning team.
“A creditable performance by the Bermuda Healthcare Services Team of Diallo Sherif, Johnny Bean, Keneth Nanette, Anthony Bascome earned them a well deserved 2nd place but did not challenge the outstanding performance of the winning team.”
