How do these MP’s manage to get trips for so cheap??? Can they please share some details because whenever I go to new york I am lucky to get just the flight for $250, let alone any accommodation or food or anything else.

    • Raymond Ray says:

They pay a large portion out of their own pockets, also many times the accomodations are their own families private or friends apts./condos

  2. So many questions... says:

5 days? Are we supposed to give the minister kudos because he’s rich and didn’t spend the governments money? What’s the real point of this article? This can’t be their idea of transparency… smh

    • Noncents says:

      @ So many questions

DREB was rich and he was spending waaaaaaaaay more than $250 for a trip to NYC.

      This is transparency.

    • Raymond Ray says:

Why not? It hasn’t cost the Bermudian Tax payers no-more than what is stated and as far I’m concerned, that great news…

  3. Comfortably numb says:

$248.46 wouldn’t have covered Dr Brown’s lunch tab, not to mention his bodyguard, Chief of Staff and PA.

  4. Vote for Me says:

Kudos to Minister Gibbons for keeping costs to a minimum.

The report does beg a question however. How are the other legitimate costs being funded. Is he paying privately or is someone else picking up the tab since I am sure he does not walk around New York, sleep in the streets or go on a fast when he is off island.

that bie must have been sleeping on de street!

  6. aceboy says:

That’s it? You couldn’t get Ewart’s entourage to the airport in a cab for that much when he travelled.
