Day #1 Results: Track & Field Championships
The 2016 Bermuda XL Catlin National Track and Field Championships got underway last night, with some of the island’s top athletes competing.
Marvellous Ikheukw won the 100m Invitational Open race clocking a time of 11.97, Taahirra Butterfield was second stopping the clock in 11.99 and Cheria Morgan was third in 12.02.
Tre Houston clocked 10.52 on his way to winning the 100m Invitational Open race, with Alistair Clarke finishing second in 10.58 and Djymon Reid finishing third in 10.94.
Shaquille Dill won the 800m Invitational Open race crossing the line in a time of 1:48.42, Anthonio Mascoll was second in 1:51.03 and Dage Minors finished third stopping the clock in 1:57.15.
Sakari Famous won the Under 17 High Jump with a top leap of 1.75m, Jah-Nhai Perinchief won the Under 20 Triple Jump with a top leap of 15.43m, Keenan Hall won the Men’s Open Triple Jump with a leap of 15.36m.
