    They scrapped through……

    • Adkin says:

So much so they were able to defend well and take the trophy home. Fifa ranking has Portugal at 8th best team in the world and 2nd in Europe, so clearly they are a great team.

      • I am sailing says:

And where they rank pretty boy faker Rinaldo.so sore he was able to celebrate

  3. Snowballs says:

    Mug game…

    • Adkin says:

      Portuguese people are hard workers.

      • Adkin says:

It;s all about winning. I’m sure Portugal and France doesn’t care about your opinion. Change the channel and go fly your kite.

        • Lisbon Blood says:

Was that a culturally racist remark because Bermudians like to fly Kites?? I didn’t see anyone say to go easy on the beer and charico because its seeping out of your pores!! Btw I’m probably more Portuguese than you are!!

      • Lisbon Blood says:

Yes they are as well as any other Bermudian. Let us not forget most Portuguese in Bermuda are born here.I appreciate how you support the motherland of your ancestry and how you celebrate big when they are successful. Its strange that Bermudians of west indian and African descent don’t celebrate to that degree when West Indies win the WC Cricket….How awkward would that be to motorcade!

  4. OBSERVER says:

Exactly. Nice to see that it was an African-Portuguese who scored the winning goal…no Cristian Renaldo IN THAT WIN!!!!!!

    • Adkin says:

Portugal is happy in a way that Renaldo didn’t play because it shows Portuguese can win without the most expensive player in the world and the most followed sports star on social media.

      • Luis Suarez says:

Portugal are a pretty ordinary side, but their resiliance won the day. Ironic given Ronaldo’s earlier comment about Iceland being small minded, they were exactly that, no ambition or adventure, they sat back for 120 mins. It was a poor final for the neutral.

        • Sabrina says:

You are obviously NOT a football fan. Go back and review the past Euro and World finals of the last 20 years and then tell us which ones were incredible exciting for a neutral.

    • hmmm says:

Ronaldo was in the game and the win…when not on the pitch he was motivating his team as a captain does.

Tournaments are a squad game….The right balance on and off the field, in the downtime and in the preparation.

It was a good goal by a Portuguese player…@ Observer: leave race out of football. Bringing it into football breeds differentiation. Differentiation breeds racism.

      • stunned... says:

agreed. he was a Portuguese player. period.

    • Full Fuulish says:

      One track mind!

    • Jus' Wonderin' says:

I feel sorry if you have children…sheesh!

    • Sabrina says:

He does not see himself as an African Portuguese – he is Portuguese. Please do not bring your prejudices into this beautiful moment.

      • Lisbon Blood says:

There is no such thing as Portuguese we all came from somewhere else……Remember someone saying there is no such thing as Bermudian?

        • Sabrina says:

Then by your logic, there would be no such thing as English, French, German, Italian, Spaniard, etc, etc, etc

          • Lisbon Blood says:

UMM I was being sarcastic duuhhh!! It wasn’t my logic….that was two of your OBA representatives Fahy and Marshall
