BPO: “Temporary Solution For Mail Delivery”

July 20, 2016

The Bermuda Post Office [BPO] is advising residents of Harrington Sound and Southampton that it has “implemented a temporary solution for mail delivery as it awaits the resolution of an ongoing labour dispute with the Bermuda Industrial Union.”

“Residents in both postal districts should now be receiving mail on a regular basis and it is anticipated that the backlog of mail in Harrington Sound will be delivered by the end of this week. There is no backlog of mail in Southampton as this district has had delivery consistently over the past month,” a spokesperson said.

“The BPO regrets this inconvenience and thanks the public for its patience, support and understanding in this matter.

“The BPO also thanks those individuals who have assisted with effecting this temporary solution and those who have delivered mail to these two postal districts during the labour dispute.
