FMG Temporarily Relocates Office Due To Fire
In providing an update following this morning’s fire, the Freisenbruch-Meyer Group said their building sustained some smoke and water damage and they are temporarily moving offices to the CHUBB Building on Woodbourne Avenue.
EVP William Madeiros — who was delivering breakfast to firefighters and police on scene this morning — said the company “would like to extend a heart-felt thanks to those first responders at Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service who bravely battled the fire,” and extended the company’s sympathies to all the businesses affected.
A spokesperson said, “The Freisenbruch-Meyer Building, 75 Front Street, has sustained smoke and water damage. We can confirm that there was no injury to any of our team members and all of our client data and information is safe.
“We have enacted our Disaster Recovery Plan, moving our offices temporarily to our partner’s location, CHUBB: The CHUBB Building [formerly The ACE Building]. 17 Woodbourne Avenue. Hamilton HM 08.
“We will be operational as of 9:00am tomorrow morning, Friday July 22 2016, maintaining regular office hours 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday. During these times our dedicated staff will be on hand to assist clients with their insurance needs. All standard communication—email, phone, etc—will be operational as well.”

“Although authorities are still investigating the cause of the destructive blaze, we send our sincere sympathies to all those businesses affected. We understand that these are not just office buildings; these are our neighbours and friends and each make up an important part of Bermuda’s eclectic social, retail and business scene.”
