    Non what?

  2. Why says:

if you’re going to go to a public place for the purpose of ill intent why not stay home and watch tv!!

    • Blind sheep says:

Cause their intent was not to stay home and watch tv. Besides..there is not anything to watch on sundays for another two weeks.

    • This has become so prevalent, that we should be somewhat immuned from the reports we read concerning this on going spat of violence and ignorance.

    • Its me again says:

You sound like a person who’s never been in a fight before.

      • Its me again says:

Obviously they didnt get together and say “war at non mariners” sometimes when people have unresolved anger towards each other and they see each other they want to hurt each other. Its really not that big of a deal. Remember a few years back someone let off a few shots.

        • count says:

not a big deal that people are floating around at a party with knives on their person. right…

  3. george says:

As THE Minister told the gang bangers in Newark (and his words are as true as the day is long) that it is a bigger force that is causing this

    • bluwater says:

Yeah, the bigger force is the community making excuses for it’s thugs.

      Star Wars?

  4. karen says:

Knew it would just be a matter of time before stuff like this would happen I guess alcohol had nothing to do with this, just ONE DAY OF NOTHING BUT DRINKING.

  5. Tilly says:

Alcohol and heat not a good mix. Screws up the brain. And there was a lot of alcohol at non Mariners today.

    • sage says:

I will bet my bottom dollar the hospital or the police will make no mention of how many young (and not so young) people were taken up by ambulance for alcohol poisoning from the different events.

  6. SSOOOMMMERSEEEEET says:

    Slowly but surely!

  7. Point boy says:

No damn home training. Fools raising fools.

  8. Awake says:

Let’s see how long the person arrested will spend in prison! I believe there’s an automatic three year sentence, which is ludicrous! People die from stab wounds. Lock these jerks up for a MINIMUM of ten years. Carrying a bladed artcile is meant for one purpose only…and it’s not to gut a fish! When we can’t even enjoy a holiday without being surrounded by half naked, drunk people in attendance, something is clearly wrong with our society! We wonder why our children are so rude and disrespectful. There’s no one else to blame but the parents!

    • Melvin T says:

U are a fool who can u blame one’s parents??? For some s#!t a grown ass man does!!! Maybe one should blame ur parents for making such a foolish person!!! Stfu yo!!!

  9. Man what says:

There is always those people who have to ruin things for everyone else.

    • Dude says:

Didnt ruin my day, plus it was good to see the police react quickly, well done!

  10. O.M.G says:

It is very sad that these fools have distorted this event. What the hell are you young people doing to your country. Parents out there take ahold of your youth please. Oh wait they don’t even know because they are out enjoying themselves and forgetting about there own kids Why do you have to have a DJ on a boat screaming out the F word and the N word. That is not the place to do that It supposed to be a family atmosphere. That’s why our country is going to hell fast.

    • wondering says:

i beg to differ – the difference between certan individuals antics are those that are culturally acceptable and those that are not – stabbig doesnt fall into either category but i must say that there are other activities that have gone on unnoticed for years simply because of who is performing them

    • No laughing matter says:

A “family atmosphere”? Really? Did you see the amount of booze being loaded unto these boats? I would not call this drunkfest a family atmosphere.

    • swing voter says:

      we’re done

  11. John says:

This is just a mirror reflection of the Trumpesqe type of Bermuda hate politics and disrespect thrown about that has become the Bermuda norm politicians spewing their hate and divisive langauge on a daily basis like its water ,and we have accepted it with relish , we pay them to divide us and hate each other black white gay etc . Time folks woke up as even the churches stand back and fuel the fires and acting like Pontius Pilot .

  12. D says:

Raise the age group for all parties 25 and up these young kids r to immature

    • Say Whaat? says:

You might be on to something! Good idea!

    • Rada Gast says:

How do you propose enforcing such a ban at a public event like Non-Mariners?

  13. Paul Revere says:

First and foremost we need to educate the youth on our local heritage. A lot of people don’t understand the sacrifices that our forefathers fought for.
The education system needs to restore civics in the classroom.
We have allowed our heritage to be sold to the highest bidder, all in the name of good looks.
Reminds me of a house with a fresh coat of paint on the outside, but has termites and rust on the inside.
While I appreciate what some private companies have done in our communities, but at what cost.
And we wonder why 2 years in a row, we have the underage sex and streaker at one of our Bermudian Cultural events.
Neither of the people involved in these incidents understand the struggle that most of our forefathers endured.
Why, because Emmanicapation Day and Somers Day, wasn’t fought for by their family members.
Maybe when the youth understand they will have a better appreciation..

    • O.M.G says:

It all starts from the home and that is the whole problem the home life there is none for a lot of these youth. They don’t even respect themselves. Why would you want your child to listen to an idiot using the F word and the N word all day long on the water. They should have been made to stop that so called music. If you listen to what they are shouting out there is a lot of anger in it. When the police saw these people swimming around drinking straight out of vodka bottles etc they should have been stopped a problem waiting to happen

lets give sheila cooper a hand of applause

    • Toodle-oo says:

Sheilah Cooper never stopped anyone from doing anything . All right minded parents know the difference between a little needed discipline and abuse.

  17. Say Whaat? says:

What makes me shocked is that these fools didn’t care about blood in the water. Like you want to add barracuda in the fight with you?!? Someone suggested raising the participation age and I’m all for it!

  18. Oh,I see now says:

It’s sad we should have to make changes to tradition in order to make it safe unfortunately the lionfish are here to stay the bible predicted their coming. This is what happens when man loves himself more than God,I’m not getting spiritual it’s a fact of life and predestined.

  19. Bornb says:

Raising participation age has nothing to do it… it’s the spectators that are causing the trouble….. just giving THEM reason to say see this is why we didn’t allow THEM on our shores or property all this time…. hmmmmm… always gotta make fools out of ourselves…. fed up!!

  20. Mumbojumbo says:

    I dunno…

    Hey u lot…

It’s “knot” that kind of party…

    Sea dogs…
