Two People In Custody After Sexual Assaults

Police are investigating reports of two sexual assaults that took place in Hamilton and at a hotel property in the east end early on Sunday morning [July 3], and said “two persons are in police custody”.

A police spokesperson said, “Police are investigating reports of two sexual assaults that took place in the early hours of Sunday morning. One took place in the City of Hamilton and the other occurred at a hotel property in the east end of the island.

“Members of the Serious Crime and Vulnerable Persons Unit are actively investigating these matters. Two persons are in police custody and investigations are ongoing.

“Anyone who has any information that can further assist the police are asked to call Inspector Mark Clarke on 2950011.”
