Court: Driver Charged With Causing Man’s Death

Appearing in Magistrates Court this morning [August 17], a 43-year-old man was charged with causing the death of Ezariah Matthie by driving without due care and attention.

Mr George Simmons was charged with causing the death of Ezariah Matthie, 21, on Ord Road in Paget on 29th February 2016, by driving without due care and attention.

He did not have to enter a plea as matter is indictable and can only be tried in the Supreme Court.

Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo ordered Mr Simmons to appear at the October Supreme Court Arraignments,and granted Mr Simmons bail at $10,000.
