  1. Dangel says:

No charge for indecent exposure? Seriously!!! Curious as to what the final outcome would of been had the culprit been of a different color.

    • Factual says:

oh please – boo freaking hoo – did you not see the less dressed people at carnival? We ALL wish some of those people had thought to put on a little more clothing before they went out in public. And why you gotta always bring “color” into things. go have a good cry and get over it.

      • Say Whaat? says:

Not everyone went to carnival, so why are you excusing this trash at a family event? Just like not everyone drinks, etc. Always excusing certain people!

        • Frank says:

Family event? There was lots of drinking, gambling and debauchery.

          • Bermudan says:

And if this was a Bermudan, how would you think it would had turned out? I am was curious, because Dangel has a point!

            • Zevon says:

              Dangel has no point.
Tourists with small amounts of drugs get fined $1,500-$3,000. Bermudians get a Conditional Discharge.
By the way, we’re Bermudians, not Bermudans.

        • John says:

Family event?? Did you not see the video of the girls snorting drugs? Nice family event

      • Wow says:

Truth hurts? Carnival is what it is, you know what you’re getting into and no one was NAKED! Cup match is a family event you idiot.

      • Terry says:

        You did ” Factual”
        You did.

Your the a** with a thong.
        Shalom.

    • yup says:

Bet it would be different if it happened at AMERICA’S CUP TOO!!! No respect for the natives holiday tho, they will just laugh it off and be okay

      • Tilly says:

They wouldn’t give a rats a** at the AC. It’s a boating event Pple on the water are half clad anyways. Get over it. Lot worse goes on up at cupmatch.

        • Tired of it all says:

These prudes would be devastated if they saw what goes on during Beachfest at Horseshoe Bay.

Whatever you do, don’t go behind the dunes! Take the long way to your vehicle.

      • bdaboy says:

        Natives? What natives?

    • Sickofantz says:

      Not really indecent was it?

      • Toodle-oo says:

Of course it wasn’t . But it sure was to the boo ho , poh me , always a victim crew who can imagine indecency and supremacy everywhere they look .

    • You are correct.
Many are getting tired of some people coming to our Cup Match and behaving indecently.
      This is enough.
His behaviour was disgraceful and unnecessary.
      His behaviour was nasty
It was not funny, only pitiful. How could this idiot do this to Bermudians?

      • Tired of it all says:

Every Bermudian, that I was next to when it happened, cracked up at this fool.

What exactly did he do us Bermudians?

        • Spectator says:

Don’t worry backbone is just an old person who doesn’t miss church on sundays…fill in the gaps where necessary lol

      • Sorry Sir says:

The players were laughing soooo I’d say at least they found the humour in it.

      • jo jo says:

did you not see the other SH****T going on around your simple minded eyes- also look and see how many children ” UNDER 5″ were still there after 10pm listening to the madness and smelling the SH**T

        • Ringmaster says:

In other news, some Bermudians were stabbed in the male bathroom at Somerset Cricket Club, and at non Mariners were throwing bottles and rocks at each other. Presumably this is acceptable to Have some Backbone because it involved Bermudians fighting each other.

    • Zevon says:

He was wearing his undies. Get a grip.

    • Onion Juice says:

Could’ve been worst, could’ve had his partner join him.
      LMFAO

    • jo jo says:

      PUMP YOUR BREAKS

    • Andrew says:

HE was wearing a bandana….and…whilst inappropriate..it is not unlawful…no more so than a string bikini… ..smfh!!!!!

    • Onion Juice says:

      Nasty habits.

  2. Terry says:

    Indecent ?
    Nah.

Bermuda got a lot of exposure of the Cup Match Holiday.

    Nice a** by the way…………………………….

  3. Come on says:

Smh… But let a local do something like that… And they would hit them with a fine and make a big deal about it!

  4. Smh says:

For the second year in a row a CERTAIN SEGMENT of people have committed some indecent act at Cup match a Bermudian traditional event with no charges filed. Not to mention the other video of the ones doing cocaine on the grass.

Makes you wonder if they’re playing a game to see who can come up with the best way to disrespect EMANCIPATION DAY , OUR DAY the most.

    • Andrew says:

hmm..this seem to be ‘maybe’ a racist post….words like Certain segment…our day..wonder what this person is on about? lol. SMH

    • Anbu says:

Well considering he didnt run out on the pitch and stab or blindside someone with a plank of wood id say its pretty tame. Same thing happens at sporting events elsewhere. Act up, get detained, then get released. Bermudians just have to add conspiracy to it. Only people making a big deal out of it is you. Take a chill.

    • Double S says:

Strange that you have said nothing about the annual violence at cup match events over the years, including the double stabbing this year.

Is that also disrespectful and part of some grand conspiracy in your opinion?

      • Smh says:

        Yes it is actually

Neither are acceptable. Difference is that they get charged for the crimes they commit

    • Zevon says:

He was wearing more than most people were at the carnival weekend. How many of those people were arrested?

    • Tilly says:

How many pple celebrate cupmatch? How many of those know the actual meaning. Did you take issue with the carnival?

    • Onion Juice says:

      Cavemen
      SMFH

    • Onion Juice says:

And this is de CULTURE that supports de same Bull S!@# they’re trying to legislate !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • Sandy says:

Incident happened on Somers Day, not Emancipation Day.

      • Onion Juice says:

Both days are Enencipation days, Soners had nothing to do with Emancipation.

        • Will says:

          Wrong wrong wrong wrong

        • Pequat1609 says:

The cup match streaker was not naked. In fact he was no more exposed than those women in the carnival or many women we see time to time on our beaches.

      • Cupmatch supporter says:

        Always an excuse smh…

    • Bully Beef says:

I don’t celebrate my ancestors being slaves. Thanks for the day off anyho.

    • Tyad says:

Correction its the third year in a row. Year before last a white male ran tottaly naked from SCC all the way to Long Bay.

    • Will says:

It wasn’t emancipation day that’s only the first day…it was George somers day you fool but why isn’t that recognized at all..by a certain segment of of people….

  5. somuchless says:

Half dressed is better than fully dressed in Bermuda. Remember people it is HOT.

    …its party time in Bermuda.

  6. Well... says:

I’m glad they let him off. I’m not condoning it however if they booked him for indecent exposure then a lot of the women there which were scantly clad should’ve been booked.

    ijs

    • Triangle Drifter says:

But, but, but, that is different. WHHHHAAAAAAAA!!!

  7. Glenda R. says:

    He enjoyed himself!
Probably return to Bermuda and spend his $!!!

  8. Tiger Lily says:

No women were wearing just a flag

  9. Realist says:

its a damn shame and he should have got fined or something! People can’t be doing this at the game! Its our day, so be respectful of it!

    • Zevon says:

A couple of stabbings are presumably no problem though.

  10. Please says:

Indecent exposure please. This man had on more clothes than some of the women there at cup match let alone what was hanging out at the non-mariners race yesterday.

  11. Cupmatch supporter says:

Let’s not forget he was a pitch invader, this is not Europe or UK. Pitch invaders are fined by the sports body or banned. Pitch invaders are taken seriously worldwide. This slap on the wrist is not acceptable. He also disrespected our match by interrupting play & our Emancipation Day celebration. Save the antics for Coachella

    • Sandy says:

Check the calendar. Incident on Somers Day.

    • Sickofantz says:

I seem to remember pitch invaders at the notorious Champion of Champions match in April last year. Check it out on Youtube it has over a million views from all over the world and made international sporting media websites everywhere.

    • Zevon says:

Oh for f sake. What a pompous little jerk.

  12. Terry says:

Many get caught up in this modern day cupless race.

    Irony.
Reality is it is all ‘non’.

All those millions in boats and what floats and all still bitch and moan.

Just another manic weekend and peekend.

    Rainy days and Mundeys…………………

  13. Disappointed says:

Why was he not charge, the men showed all his private parts to children, were i was sitting.that is not right. Iam so disappointed in the law.

  14. Charity says:

Not indecent enough to be charged I guess…I am disgusted…I know that some spectators saw more than what they would have liked to see unvoluntarily

    • No Laughing Matter says:

Really?? Did you take a look at some of the women at cup match, dressed in next to nothing? These women should also be charged, as some cup match spectators “saw more than what they would have liked to see involuntarily”…

  15. Maddog says:

Pitch invader? please….like the 100 + people that ran on the field to congratulate JT on his century,…isn’t that against the rules? Was that taken seriously? Rules are either for everyone or no one…you can’t apply them when you feel like it…chill out

    • Onion Juice says:

It is customary that fans congradulate and give generous $$ to someone who makes 50 or 100.
Its not customary or part of our culture to do dumb S!@# like that or de dumb S!@# down at St. Georges last year.
We will not adapt to that part of your culture, especially that dumb S!@# you want to legislate.

      • aceboy says:

Stabbing are now customary apparently. No comment on that part of YOUR culture?

  16. Jon says:

Can’t believe bermudian allowed this disrespect to happen. If I was there with my daughter or son I would have been vexed

  17. Ed Case says:

Bermudians can be relied upon to make it a race issue. He was covered up so no law was actually broken. Give it a rest you pathetic race baiters.

    • Wow says:

What’s it like being oblivious and accusing everyone who points out your racism as being a racist?

      • Ed Case says:

        Reply when sober.

      • Ed Case says:

I am not the one who brought race up. I only expressed my dismay that people always bring it down to race in Bda. You really do have a problem.

  18. Missy says:

I think he should Have been charged. If we did this away, especially during a public event celebrating such an important moment for their culture, Im sure they wouldn’t let it slide.

    • Terry says:

      He was charged………………………………..
      Bawhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  19. TSOL says:

Amazed at all the people who think this is much more serious then people getting stabbed in the bathrooms at the cricket club.

  20. swing voter says:

yeah, 3 stabbings and multiple cat fights involving all local young girls caught on phone cam and ya’ll worried about shaggy acting stupid after a few drinks. Some of us Bermudians are just plain stupid

  21. Davy jones says:

No I think this was acceptable just like last years couple who got water thrown on them. People forgot about that couple they got shipped out quickly.

  22. Fur says:

He had more on than some of the women that showed up at the game.some of these Mothers should be ashamed of themselves.
They are thinking of having the Fashion Police next year…and they will have many arrest….this cooking from the commentators
All done in fun….loosen up people..it happened so quick don’t think many even so it.

  23. Fur says:

Stop making everything that happens on this Island a racial issue….Stop stop stop

  24. moonbeam says:

This smarta** individual should have been prosecuted to the full extent of the law. How dare he insult our country and our people with his idiotic inhibitions. He should have been deported and never allowed to return. I’ll bet that’s what Australia would have done if it had happened in his homeland.

    • Triangle Drifter says:

The native dress of the Australian Aboriginals is a whole lot less. Go check out an old National Geographic magazine. Maybe get your jollies that way.

    • Bully Beef says:

Getta life. Conditional discharge is all you get.

    • sage says:

That would be “lack of inhibition”.

    • smh says:

“insult our country” grow the heck up big cry baby. Waaaaaa…stabbing is OK but they insulted my feelings on MY special day Waaaaaa

  25. good vibes says:

    oh sharrap, mOOnbeam.

  26. Wow! says:

Wow! I thought it was funny. A commercial during the game. An ice breaker. Stop being so stuffy. It was hot and the game of cricket can be hard to understand for some. Why don’t we start doing the right thing by telling our sons to pull up their pants, wear a belt and stop showing their underwater & be respectful. Why don’t we start by telling our daughters to wear appropriate clothing and respect themselves & stop having children that they leave to the system to take care of. And boys / men have children if you’re going to take care of them and be responsible. Why don’t we start from here?!

  27. Just saying says:

Anyone care to talk about the two stabbings that took place in the somerset club? I guess that was ok because it was behind closed doors

    • Johnny says:

      Ya, they got arrested.

    • Sick of hearing it says:

3 Stabbing – another one happened at Non-Mariners.

Or what about the, what looks to be, barely legal girls snorting drugs at the field??

  28. Rhonda says:

Who cares that it was a celebration of emancipation. …
The descendants of some interrupting the descendants of slaves sounds about right for where Bermuda is headed.

Next year it would be bigger and better…

Come on out one and all..to see even greater nudity….and a
    special performance. ..

  29. The Cup Match Streaker says:

    G’day all,
Thought I’d weigh with side of the story.
So yes, I’m the cup match streaker! I was also the non-gay non-priest at the Off Shore Same Sex Marriage Temple at Non-mariners…which I’m sure can fire a few more people up. Let me say from the outset, I wasn’t and am not now, deliberately out to offend. If I did, or continue too, I’m deeply sorry. I’m sure you can ask the massive numbers of people who’ve come to give me a high five or take a photo with me around the island, that I’ve got a good heart. I’m Australian too, so I understand cricket, and I know how to party, so when the game was a bit dull, I figured we needed it to liven up a little. I learned a lot in Bermuda while I was there, and it seems that often the big or small issues really polarise opinion and my streaking is no exception. At the end of the day, I lost a bet, or a game of odds, pick a number from one to 75 and after a three count me and my man hit on 26. Either I lose my freedom and dignity, or I lose honour amongst friends. It was meant to be a laugh. I was apologising to the player when he shook my hand! I spent about 7 hours in jail, admitted my offence, was well mannered and contrite, and so was treated well and let off with a caution. I then went to the Spinning Wheel where I was given hero status and showered with black seal, beers and selfies. I can also confirm it was a red and white kuffiyah that I bought in Libya, an all purpose cloth that I usually wear on my head…and I was supporting Somerset. I am big, white and shaggy, I am Big Abdul…and I’m sorry/laughing depending on your side of the fence. Big up yaself Bernuda, it’s all love and i can’t wait to be back XO

    • Terry says:

      Thank you Abdul.

      Shalom.

    • Will says:

Don’t worry mate the majority of us got a right laugh out of it….the stuck in neutral old minded individuals here can’t see past their prudish ways. You’re welcome back anytime!!!

  30. Draws are Lame says:

i am outraged, this is obviously the reason why Cup Match ended in a draw. Moreover, the fact that Bermuda still somehow allows draw results at Cup Match is why we have streakers, viral cocaine addicts and public sex videos shot behind the bleachers containing cheap advertisement plugs.

When will the madness end? It won’t, until we put an end to these mundane anti-climactic draws.
