Today was another tough day for Bermuda’s sailors at the Rio Olympics.

Cameron Pimental was 45th and 42nd in the fifth and sixth races of the laser fleet. Overall Pimentel is 43rd in the 46-boat fleet.

Tonci Stipanovic of Croatia has opened up a nine-point lead over Nick Thompson of Great Britain for first. Rutger van Schaardenburg of the Netherlands is third, 11 points back.

Ceci Wollmann had a 33rd and 35th today as she continues to experience a steep learning curve against the world’s best laser sailors.

Wollmann is 34th overall on 160 points in the 37-boat fleet.

Ireland’s Annalise Murphy has a slender lead of one point over Denmark’s Anne-Marie Rindom and two points over The Netherlands’ Marit Boumeester.

Thursday is an off day for Pimentel and Wollmann, but both will be back in the water on Friday afternoon for the seventh and eighth races in their respective regattas.
