27-Year-Old Car Driver Injured In Collision

[Updated] A 27-year-old man was taken to the hospital this evening [Sept 3] following a collision involving a water truck and a car.

A police spokesperson said, “At around 8:20pm first responders attended a report of road traffic collision that took place at the junction of Middle Road and Chapel Road in Warwick.

“Details at this point are unclear but it appears that a water truck and a car collided. As a result, the driver of the car, a 27-year-old man was taken to the hospital and his injuries at this time are unknown.

“Traffic is being diverted whilst the relevant officers process the scene. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact police on 295-0011.”

Update Sept 5, 2.19pm: A police spokesperson said, “The 27-year-old male driver of a car injured when a collision occurred with a water truck around 8:20pm Saturday, September 3rd at the junction of Middle Road and Chapel Road in Paget was apparently treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries to his face, hand and arm. However, details remain unclear regarding how the collision occurred.
