Four Appleby Lawyers On ’2016 Leaders List’
Citywealth has named four Appleby Bermuda lawyers to their 2016 ‘Leaders List’, with Partners Vanessa Schrum and Keith Robinson, Counsel QC Michael Mello and Senior Associate Ashley Fife all honoured for their outstanding work.
The Citywealth ‘Leaders List’ is compiled from recommendations from private wealth managers and advisors, as well as their clients. The lawyers were all recognised in the ‘Lawyers’ category, with Schrum also recognised in the ‘Power Women’ category.

Vanessa Schrum is a Partner and Group Head of the Private Client and Trusts department in Bermuda and has extensive experience on a wide range of trust and estate planning matters.
She regularly advises on the use of Bermuda private and commercial trust structures, pension trusts, trust restructuring often with a multi-jurisdictional element, the administration of complex and large estates and all areas of probate and equity matters in Bermuda.

Keith Robinson is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution department in Bermuda and focuses on high value trust disputes and restructurings often with a multi-jurisdictional element. He has advised and represented trustees, beneficiaries and other fiduciaries. Mr Robinson has been involved in many of the major trust cases in Bermuda over the last number of years and in the last year has appeared in a number of legally significant reported decisions.

Michael Mello Q.C. is Counsel in the Private Client and Trusts department in Bermuda. Mr Mello practises primarily in the areas of trusts, wills and estates. He has over 40 years’ experience and is the author of The Law of Wills & Estates in Bermuda and numerous articles on trusts, wills, powers and estates.

Ashley Fife is a Senior Associate in the Private Client and Trusts department in Bermuda. His work primarily consists of providing advice and drafting key documents regarding the creation, management, restructuring and termination of private and commercial trusts with particular emphasis on pension trusts, unit trusts and complex family structures utilising insurance and investment structures and solutions.
