Mayor Francis To Host Public Town Hall Meeting

Mayor of St. George Quinell Francis will be hosting a public Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, September 27 at 6.30pm at the Penno’s Wharf Terminal Building.

A spokesperson said, “Over the next several months, the Corporation will be undertaking several infrastructure improvement projects and we aim to keep our constituents well informed.”

“These are exciting times for the Town and we need for the community to be excited and informed about the future,” the Mayor said.

“As we embark on these projects there will be unavoidable disruptions and inconveniences that are associated with all major infrastructure improvement projects and communication with the St. George’s residents and businesses is vital.

“The Town Hall meeting will serve to provide an update on Corporation initiatives and in addition representatives from the Bermuda Police Service will be in attendance to provide information regarding public safety and policing as it relates to the Town.”

The Mayor said, “As always I encourage all businesses and residents of St. George’s to come out and participate in the Town Hall meeting.

“Our Town Hall meetings provide an excellent opportunity for our constituents to hear first-hand about all the exciting things that are in store for the Town.

“The public Town Hall meetings are a continuation of our efforts to keep our constituents informed and is an integral part of our communication strategy.”

“The agenda includes a welcome by the Mayor; an update on Corporation initiatives; Policing-Bermuda Police Service; an open forum; and a closing.”

“We invite everyone in the St. George’s community to attend,” the Mayor concluded.
