September 27, 2016

Tokio Millennium Re – one of the Island’s well established reinsurance companies with nearly 200 employees globally from over 30 countries — said they promote diversity in the workplace and support the upcoming Dive In Festival.

The 2nd Dive In Festival will take place from September 27 to September 29 with Bermuda now one of 16 locations across four continents that will be participating.

The Dive In Festival makes the business case for diverse and inclusive workplaces, and provides practical ideas and inspiration for how to bring about positive change.

According to Kathleen Faries, the Head of Bermuda of Tokio Millennium Re: “At Tokio Millennium Re, we strongly connect with the philosophy the Dive In Festival promotes. Embracing people with different backgrounds and skill sets, and encouraging a culture of inclusion, results in a diverse team and rich talent pool.”

Ms Faries added: “One of Tokio Millennium Re’s biggest strengths is the diversity of its global workforce of nearly 200 employees from over 30 countries. Our goal is to build a company that mirrors the diversity of our clients and the complexity of the reinsurance business we service.

“By building a diverse and inclusive workplace within our five offices around the world, we feel we have an advantage in our approach to problem solving and in creating unique solutions for our customers.”

Tokio Millennium Re actively supports the Festival and has encouraged its employees to participate in the events in Bermuda.
