BFRS Respond To Fire Involving Three Vehicles

The Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a vehicle fire in the Loughland housing complex in Paget last night [Sept 29], with one car and two bikes found “smoldering from the affects of the fire.”

Fire Service spokesperson, Staff Officer Delton White, said, “At approximately 9:49pm on Thursday, September 29, 2016, the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service responded to a report of a vehicle fire in the Loughland housing complex on Southshore Road in Paget.

“The fire service received multiple calls of vehicles on fire with visible flames and smoke emitting.

“The Fire Service responded with one vehicle and four personnel to find one car and two bikes smoldering from the affects of the fire. Prior to the Fire Services arrival, residents of the complex assisted in extinguishing the fire with hoses and water from inside the complex.

“No one was hurt as a result of this incident and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.”
