Two Motorcyclists Injured In Separate Collisions

Separate collisions in Pembroke and Devonshire resulted in two motorcyclists being taken to hospital for treatment and later discharged.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 7:40am on Thursday, October 6th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision in the Serpentine Road/Par-La-Ville Road Pembroke area.

“It appears that a car and a motorcycle collided as the driver and rider of each vehicle attempted to negotiate the round-a-bout at that location.

“The injured motorcyclist, a 46 year old Pembroke man, was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment and later discharged.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”

Regarding the second collision, a police spokesperson said, “Around 8:30am on Thursday, October 6th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported two vehicle collision in the Palmetto Road/Dock Hill Devonshire area.

“It appears that a bus and a motorcycle collided as the driver and rider of each vehicle attempted to negotiate the round-a-bout at that location.

“The motorcyclist, a 23 year old Hamilton parish man, apparently sustained injuries to his arm and leg. He was taken to hospital via ambulance for treatment and later discharged.

“Inquiries continue and any witnesses should contact the main police telephone number 295-0011.”
