  1. Jamie says:

Good luck Bermuda! Prove the haters wrong. I just don’t believe the selection was fair to certain players especially because one person just started to train this month. Definitely not fair to the lads that has been putting in work from last year.

  2. Do Right says:

Dean Minors should not be in this team Clay Smith! Where is the wicket-keeper that represented Bermuda at last years under 19 tournament which featured talented player Delray Rawlings as captain? Where is the young man Bascombe?

    • Inside scoop says:

The under 19 keeper made himself unavailable and okera is ineligible due to circumstances out of his or the boards control

      • Do Right says:

That is a bold face lie regarding the U-19 keeper. SMH

    • Paradise says:

Just because someone is young and can stand behind the stumps and stop a ball doesn’t qualify you as a wicketkeeper and automatic selection!
As a former wicketkeeper I can assure you that I would select Dean over many of these backstops that call themselves wicketkeepers! Where is your disgust at these players who cant leave the weed alone for a few weeks/months to represent their country? Look at the names that were picked and look at the top cricketers in the island and question why they are not in the team….some may have a legitimate reason but the underlying issue is that LOUD!! lets be real people…always ready to point the finger at everyone else instead of the guilty!SAD!! Good luck Clay and Bermuda!

      • Do Right says:

Is this Clay Smith?? What nonsense is this?
“Just because someone is young and can stand behind the stumps and stop a ball doesn’t qualify you as a wicketkeeper and automatic selection!
As a former wicketkeeper I can assure you that I would select Dean over many of these backstops that call themselves wicketkeepers!”
And we wonder why young man feel so marginaized!

        • Paradise says:

Get over yourself! “And we wonder why our young man feel marginalized” Its because of people like you who continue to stick a pacifier in their mouths when they cry like babies instead of encouraging them to pull up their socks and work harder to be better at their craft! Our under 19 wicket keeper had the worst performance of all the wicketkeeepers in the tournament if you want to go there! Check out the statistics and all the extras that he gave up!! People like you are the reason why we will remain in the lower divisions of world cricket! Sorry but our under 19 wicketkeeper wont make it in any other team but Bermudas under 19 team…That’s a fact! Enroll him in one the the many cricket academies around the world and he will get a rude awakening…what excuse will you use then? If you cared any about this young man you would not want this young man to play in a tournament like the qualifiers and get exposed…who will you blame then?

    • Paradise says:

What do you say about Dean Minors, the old man, who shouldn’t be in the team. He showed the youngsters how its done by being the top scorer of 30 out of a total score of 90 runs….the youngsters should hang their heads in shame…what a disgraceful performance! Bermuda should bring back all the old players just to show the youngsters age doesn’t matter when you can produce the goods! Well done Dean!
