October 14, 2016

Bermudian singer, writer, and ministry worker Crystal Holdipp recently released her latest book, titled “Resilient: Rise Above the Ashes,” described as “a book of poems, reflections, prayers and declarations on resilience and bouncing back from life’s challenges.”

Currently she is a soloist and kids bible club worker at Cities of Refuge [CORE Ministries]. Previously, she has worked in the Children’s Church Ministry at CORE as the Director of Children’s Church for about 8+ years and has led a series of youth Sunday events.

She has a true love for singing and sang her first solo at the very young age of 4 years old at her preschool graduation. She has recorded in the studio with Pastor John Woolridge and a door opened for the recording to be played on FM 105.1 in Bermuda.

Opportunities to sing overseas have opened up for her in both Cleveland, Ohio and in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ms Holdipp won the Most Promising Performer cast award from Gina Spence Productions in Christ as a debut in a small acting part in the musical “A Figure Of Speech 2009”. The author has also worked in their community outreach programs and continues to occasionally volunteer in community outreach and non – profit activities.

She studied and graduated from the Writers Bureau with a diploma in Creative Writing and has been writing since a teenager, but grew more into it while studying at the Writers Bureau from 2011 – 2014.

She has written and published books titled ‘Poems From The Heart’, ‘Inspiring Moments: Encouragement for the Soul’ and ‘Resilient: Rise Above the Ashes’. The writer has written for and been published with both local and overseas publications.

She says her favorite scripture is Romans 8:28, and that she desires to be all that God has called her to be and to walk in her destiny.”

When asked about the new book and the inspiration behind it, Ms. Holdipp told Bernews, “Resilient: Rise Above the Ashes is a book of poems, reflections, prayers and declarations on resilience and bouncing back from life’s challenges. The book speaks directly to the readers, personally ministers to them and will empower them as they read and apply.

“Resilient is inspired from my life experiences and how they pushed me to rise above. I’ve experienced learning struggles throughout my formal education, being a learning support student from primary school all the way to college.

“Also, I was diagnosed with a learning disability at 23-years-old while attending college and was going to an educational psychologist. Experiences such as going through depression, anxiety, never having a steady job and other personal circumstances has helped in my writing journey.”

When asked about her previous books, Ms. Holdipp explained, “I have written and published three books titled ‘Poems From The Heart’, ‘Inspiring Moments: Encouragement for the Soul’ and ‘Resilient: Rise Above the Ashes’. They are all available in both Kindle & Paperback on Amazon.com and through personal direct order by emailing resilientmovement@yahoo.com or calling 747-8786.”

She will host a book signing on Tuesday October 18th. For more information, visit Ms. Holdipp’s website.
