Series Of Outages Due To “Salt Build Up”

BELCO have this afternoon [Oct 20] advised its customers that there have been a series of outages throughout the Island today caused by “salt build up”.

A BELCO spokesperson said, “BELCO would like to advise its customers that there have been a series of outages throughout the Island today.

“Given the weather, crews have been responding to system outages caused by the salt build up on BELCO’s distribution system that often happens following a hurricane. Crews are responding to the outages as they occur.”

    Ordinarily, lots of detergent in water gets rid of salt , rinse well.
    Water alone does not cut it.

    What a crock of BS! Salt!! As if we just started living in the middle of a body of salt water last week.

    Don’t forget to change out the air in your car tyres from “summer” air to “winter” air.
