The Queen Group Launches Its Latest Venture

The Queen Group of Companies has announced that Island Shippers has signed a new partnership deal with Florida-based Caicos Caribbean Lines LLC, effective October 6, 2016.

The new home of Island Shippers is 6 Hermitage Road in Devonshire, with administration offices located on the third floor of Cedar House at 41 Cedar Avenue in Hamilton.

The new “ship to” address for Island Shippers is Customer name c/o, Island Shippers Bermuda, Caicos Caribbean Lines LLC, 9949 N. W. 89th Ave, Unit # 8, Medley, Florida 33178.

Queen Group CEO Rod Petty said, “Island Shippers, formerly known as Island Bargains has signed has signed a partnership with CCL to reduce consolidation expenses and to take advantage of technological improvements as the small package shipping business expands.

“Online shopping has increased significantly since 2013, and the demand for full service small package shipping has seen significant increases as well. Consumer choice, competitive pricing and the variety of goods available overseas are the fuel behind these increases.

“Historically, we offered small package services and specialized shipping separately, and these will now be continued by the new company.

“We are delighted to be able to offer enhanced services including, custom procurement, “ship and hold”, concierge and relocation services at very competitive rates through our new single source service provider.

“With the expansion of our Florida operation, we are able to reduce operational costs for individuals and businesses in Bermuda. The new Island Shippers will continue to offer Less than Container Load, Consolidation, Transloading of Cargo, Inland Trucking and special project related shipping for large projects.”

A spokesperson said, “Island Shippers is a service driven shipping company that seeks to combine large volumes of cargo, household merchandise, small packages and specific projects. The warehouse services offered both on island and in Florida are able to provide important ship and hold capabilities for large orders and inventory management.

“Our Miami warehouse can receive, combine and deliver shipments in a timely manner, no matter how large or small.”
