October 26, 2016

Registration for the Annual Bermuda Tourism Summit is now open, with the event set to take place November 16, 2016, at the Hamilton Princess Hotel & Beach Club from 8 am to 6 pm.

“The annual summit, organised by the Bermuda Tourism Authority [BTA], is designed to prompt dialogue concerning trends affecting the tourism industry around the world while simultaneously discussing strategies to improve the tourism industry here at home,” the BTA said.

“Visiting experts will discuss trade trends around the global vacation rental business, tips for articulating Bermuda’s brand voice and appealing to travellers’ emotions to improve the visitor experience. Adam Sacks, founder and president of Tourism Economics, will return for the second consecutive year to provide his macro view of the global economy and what that means for the travel industry.

“Local facilitators include local photographers, the Bermuda Hospitality Institute’s Malika Cartwright and various leaders from the BTA. Premier Michael Dunkley, BTA Chairman David Dodwell and Tourism, Transport & Municipalities Minister Michael Fahy will address the assembly during the jam-packed one-day summit.

“The 2016 summit is designed to prepare the industry for the 2017 calendar year of tourism business and set the table for productive partnerships.

“Advance registration is required and the cost to attend the summit is $35. The registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, refreshments and a networking cocktail reception. Registration and payment can be submitted online. The deadline for registration is November 10th, 2016.”
