October 10, 2016

Freisenbruch-Meyer Group is reminding their clients to “remain vigilant and make the necessary preparations for the approaching storm.”

Their statement comes as the Bermuda Weather Service issues a Hurricane Watch, saying that Tropical Storm Nicole is “a threat to Bermuda,” with its closest point of approach to Bermuda within 72 hrs forecast to be “25 nm of [or directly over] the Island” at 11am on Thursday, October 13th.

The company said, “Over the past week, Freisenbruch-Meyer Group has closely monitored all activity in the Atlantic Basin.

“The damage caused by Hurricane Matthew and the erratic behavior of Tropical Storm Nicole reminds us of the power and unpredictability of the weather. We believe it is prudent that we remind our clients to remain vigilant and make the necessary preparations for the approaching storm.

“It is expected that Tropical Storm Nicole will strengthen into a hurricane by tomorrow and we will continue to monitor conditions as forecasts evolve.”

“At this time, Freisenbruch-Meyer Group is prepared to maintain normal business hours. If the storm continues on its current path, we intend to enact our Business Continuity Plan and alternative hours for Thursday will be announced.

“Our dedicated and professional staff are on hand to service clients should they wish to confirm coverage, renew policies or make a payment. For all insurance and pensions related concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at 296-3600 or visit our website at www.fmgroup.bm.”

Michael Freisenbruch, President, stated, “We trust that most residents were adequately prepared for Tropical Storm Karl, however it doesn’t hurt to double check supplies and review your hurricane plan.”
