“Mighty Crown is proudly celebrating their 25th anniversary through out the year with a series of high profile events and tours. The sound, known as “The Far East Rulaz” by the massive, rose to fame in 1999 after winning the major sound clash competition, Irish and Chin’s World Clash! Upon their victory, the sound forged a business/management relationship with Irish and Chin.

“Rocking crowds from 500 people to 35,000, Mighty Crown is recognized as one of the industry’s most commercially successful sounds, amassing a number of sneaker deals, apparel deal and endorsements with the likes of Nike, Clae, New Era, Stussy and Clarks, among others.

“Mighty Crown’s latest accolade is their stunning victory of the Welcome to Jamrock Reggae Cruise’s first ever sound clash, “3 Di Hard Way,” where they defeated Bass Odyssey and Metromedia. They successfully defended this title by defeating Tony Matterhorn.

“Patrons will be treated to the best in old school music from the late 80s into the early 2000. We urge everyone to come out early! Last year the venue was full by 11:30. Many patrons who came late were turned away or waited in long lines.

“Local DJs include DJ Sheep of Blacklion Sound, Magnum Force Sound, and Souljah One Sound with Magic. These 3 DJs are some of the poineers of sound system culture during the Clayhouse era.

“These local sound systems along with Mighty Crown will relive the Clayhouse days from 10pm to 3am. Early warmup will be done by Prestige and Supernatural sounds. Tickets are $25 and are available at Kit n Caboodle, Fish n Tings, Freshmen Store at Heron Bay Plaza, RAA Club, and online.”
