Football: First & Premier Division Results

Southampton Rangers, Paget Lions, X-Roads, Devonshire Colts, Devonshire Cougars, PHC Zebras, and Robin Hood all walked away with wins in recent Premier and First Division football action.

First: Wolves 2 Southampton Rangers 4

At the Devonshire Rec, visitors Southampton Rangers defeated Wolves 4 – 2, Dominique Hill and Keedai Astwood scored twice for the visitors, while George Dyer and Vincent Minors Jr scored for Wolves.

First: Paget Lions 5 St. David’s 4

At the Southampton Oval, Paget got goals from Koshun Durrant, Jahniya Richardson, Robert Richardson, Dion Stovell and Julian Carpenter in their 5 – 4 win, while Dunte Albouy scored twice for St. David’s who also got goals from Kontaicf Burton and Deigo McCallan.

First: Hamilton Parish 0 BAA 0

At the Wellington Oval, Hamilton Parish and BAA played to a scoreless draw.

First: Young Men Social Club 1 St. George’s Colts 1

At the PHC Stadium, league leaders Young Men Social Club drew 1-1 with the visiting St. George’s Colts. After a scoreless first half, Allan Douglas Jr. gave St. George’s Colts the lead in the 46th minute, but a St. George’s Colts own goal in the 58th minute earned the Young Men Social Club a point.

First: Ireland Rangers 0 X-Road’s 8

At Malabar, second place X-Road’s recorded a 8 – 0 win over Ireland Rangers. X-Road’s got goals from Nasir Richardson, Jorge Sanchez, Tyquan Perinchief, Daniel Baker, Antinori Bitterfield, Machih McGowan, William Spenver and an own goal in the win.

Premier: Devonshire Colts 6 Dandy Town Hornets 4

At the Police Field, the Devonshire Colts defeated the Dandy Town Hornets 6 – 4. Kyle Jones blasted the Devonshire Colts into the lead in the 9th minute, he would double the lead in the 32nd minute. The Devonshire Colts would then find themselves ahead 3 – 0 after 34 minute when Eli Smith scored, but the Dandy Town Hornets pulled a goal back in the 35th minute when Angelo Simmons scored, on the stroke of halftime the Devonshire Colts would go 4 – 1 ahead with Teniko Eve scoring. Five minutes into the second half Jones would complete his hat-trick, before Jomei Bean-Lindo would make it 6 – 1 with a goal in the 66th minute. The Dandy Town Hornets would get a own goal in the 74th minute making the score 6 – 2, Simmons would then make if 6 – 3 with his second goal in the 85th minute and then Kwonde Lathan would make it 6 – 4 when he scored in the 88th minute, but with no further goals the Devonshire Colts would pick up 3 valuable points.

Premier: Devonshire Cougars 3 North Village Rams 1

At the Devonshire Rec. Juma Mouchette gave the Devonshire Cougars the lead in the 15th minute, Kashun Brangman doubled the lead in the 48th minute, but the league leading goalscorer Shayne Hollis pulled a goal back for the North Village Rams in the 62nd minute when he converted from the penalty spot, but Machi Battersbee would restore the Devonshire Cougars two goal lead and they held on for the 3 – 1 victory.

Premier: PHC Zebras 6 Somerset Eagles 1

At the PHC Stadium, the PHC Zebras got goals from Tre Ming, Mazhye Burchall, Marco Warren, Cecoy Robinson, Keishon Bean and Marquel Waldron in their 5 – 1 win, Akale Bean scored for the Somerset Eagles.

Premier: Robin Hood 2 Somerset Trojans 1

At the BAA Field, the visiting Somerset Trojans went ahead in the 11th minute, but in the 29th minute the score was level as Donte Brangman scored, three minutes before the break Antwan Russell gave Robin Hood a 2 – 1 lead. Midway through the second half the Somerset Trojans had a chance to draw level, but goalkeeper Shaquille Bean had his penalty kick saved, Zurhi Burgess would make it 3 – 1 to Robin Hood when he scored in the 81st minute.
